(Please note: We do not host private events at this time.) As a member of the Shawangunk Wine Trail, we participate in all the trail events. It would be very difficult to accommodate the large event crowds in our regular tasting room, so we transform our fruit packing room downstairs in the barn just for these events. We don't do much primping for Pasta Primo Vino, but the walls are full of information about our particular adopted country for Around the World, and for Wreath Fineries, we decorate so much, we hardly recognize the place! We hope to see you at an event soon.
2010 Shawangunk Wine Trail Event Dates:
Pasta Primo Vino! - 2009Mother Nature generously provided beautiful spring weather for the first Shawangunk Wine Trail event of the year. This year we had a little fun putting our own twist on a traditional dish. With a few subtle but significant modifications, Penne Alla Vodka became Spicy Elboni Alla Boozka. As always, we selected a very friendly dish to make: a short list of ingredients, a bit of chopping, two pots, some blending and stirring, and you're there. Should you be interested, you'll find the recipe for Spicy Elboni Alla Boozka here.

Around the World in 80 Miles - 2009 Glorie Farm Winery adopted CUBA!

Is your passport up to date? Lots of people got their papers in order and came up to Glorie Farm Winery for a visit to "Cuba" in 2009. We had food reminiscent of Cuba for visitors to taste as well as selected Glorie wines. Of course, for this event MaryEllen goes back to her old teaching skills and puts together lots of posters with interesting information and pictures about our adopted country. There was even a quiz where you could test your knowledge about Cuba. In 2010 we're adopting... MEXICO! You won't want to miss it!
2009 Bounty of the Hudson Wine & Food Festival Unlike the other wine trail events, for Bounty you drive to one place, and we (the wineries) all meet you there! In 2009 Millbrook Vineyards, a top-notch winery over in Dutchess County, hosted this event. And remember, this event isn't just about the wineries. Top-rated restaurants and food purveyors (sometimes unusual ones!) join us as well. There is live music to sit and enjoy all day, too. Let's see: wine, food, music, and relaxation. Sounds like a good time to us! In 2010 this event will be hosted by Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery in southern Orange County.
2009 Wreath Fineries at the Wineries
This is the most popular event of the year and it's always a sellout, so don't wait until December to get your tickets! Wine makes a great gift for all occasions, so make a list of the important occasions for special people in your life and come ready to find just the right bottle of wine to keep or to give. Plus, "appetizer" is MaryEllen's favorite food group, so we promise to always serve some sort of easy-to-put-together, delectable appetizer that you'll want to make for your holiday party. Make this memorable event part of your holiday traditions!
